Order sent regarding the churches and non-Muslim subject in the fortress of Bar upon the letter of the previous sancakbey of İskenderiye, Hasan. The non-Muslims of Bar were given a special status because of their voluntary submission to the Porte. In this regard, they were given muafname. However, recently there was an incident where ezan was read inone of their churches which according to some people legitimazed that the church could be turned into a mosque. This was not correct. An order was sent accordingly. However, these people did not obey the order and still oppressed the non-Muslims subject. Now another order has been sent and the Ottoman officials are ordered to give these churches to the non-Muslim Ottoman subjects and never allow anyone interfere.
