Order sent to the beylerbeyi and defterdar of Haleb upon the request of the bailo in İstanbul regarding oppression of the Venetian and other merchants in Tripoli and a new port to be founded in İskenderpinari (iskenderun) near Bakras in Haleb. As it is explained in many other orders, goods of Venetian and other merchants have been seized or puchased with really lower prices. Still they have not been able to receive that money. Therefore, they were unable to go to Haleb from Tripoli to sell clothes and other items. Apparently there is a harbour at a place in İskenderpinari near Bakras that is suitable for a port to be constructed and that will be beneficial for the imperial treasury. The Ottoman officials are ordered to collect the merchants' remaining money.
